In less than two weeks, I depart to China.
This will be a first for me — my first time out of the country; my first time to China; and my first time away from home and family for such an extended period of time. As the time to depart comes closer, I find myself looking forward to this new experience. I expect that it will improve me both as a person and as a scholar.
But today, I am anxious.
