A Reflection of My Final Fall Semester

Tyler Bosley
By Tyler Bosley, Class of 2013

As I finish up the final fall semester of my undergraduate career, I find it difficult to think of a life away from Louisville. Sure, I am applying to graduate school and my academic career is far from over but the thought of being anywhere else than where I am now is a difficult thing to envision. The life that I have built as a McConnell Scholar and as a undergraduate student at the University of Louisville has been better than I ever could have imagined. I have met some of the greatest people that I have ever met in my life and I have had some of the greatest, often life-changing, experiences that I have ever had. The memories that I have created in the past four years at this institution are ones that I will never forget.

With that said, the future that I have been working towards for four years is nearly upon me. I have applied to some of the finest academic institutions for my continued education in the field of pharmacy and have been lucky enough to even be accepted to some of the institutions as I write this. In the fall of 2013, I will begin the next step of my journey. I have been working towards this next step since my first day on the University of Louisville's campus and I am thankful for all the things that Louisville has done to prepare me for this next step. I am also thankful for the lessons and experiences that I have received as a member of the McConnell Scholars Program. My four years in Louisville would be nothing without the people I have met through the program or the added opportunities that I was offered as a scholar.

I have just one semester left and I am determined to make it my best semester yet. With the help of my friends, instructors, and the university, I plan on reaching every goal that I set for myself four years ago and some that I was unaware were even possible. This has truly been the greatest time of my life.
